SYNCRo Emerald

Install or update the extension in Chrome or Edge. Pick your operating system below — we’ve preselected the one you appear to be on.

One updater does both install and update — download it once, then run it whenever you want a new version.

First-time install

  1. Unzip SYNCRo-Emerald.zip anywhere.
  2. Double-click install.bat. It downloads the latest version, copies it here (as update.bat), and adds an “Emerald update” shortcut on your Desktop: %USERPROFILE%\SYNCRo Emerald\dist
  3. Open a new tab and type chrome://extensions in the address bar, then turn on Developer mode (top-right).
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the dist folder above.
  5. Repeat step 4 once per Chrome/Edge profile you use.
  6. (Optional) Pin the extension to the Chrome toolbar.
  7. All set — enjoy! Open EmeraldChat.

Update to a new version

  1. Double-click the “Emerald update” shortcut on your Desktop (or update.bat in %USERPROFILE%\SYNCRo Emerald). It overwrites the files with the latest.
  2. Reload the extension — any of:
    • extension popup → “Reload extension”, or
    • dashboard → “Reload extension”, or
    • chrome://extensions → reload icon.
    (Reload once per profile.)

There’s no installer script here — you load the extension folder manually (it stays on disk and Chrome loads it from there). Works in Chrome, Edge and Chromium. Safari is not supported.

First-time install

  1. Unzip ext.zip into a permanent folder you won’t delete — Chrome loads the extension live from it. For example: ~/SYNCRo Emerald/dist
  2. Open a new tab and go to chrome://extensions (Edge: edge://extensions), then turn on Developer mode (top-right).
  3. Click Load unpacked and select that folder.
  4. Repeat step 3 once per Chrome/Edge profile you use.
  5. (Optional) Pin the extension to the toolbar.
  6. All set — enjoy! Open EmeraldChat.

Update to a new version

  1. Download ext.zip again (button above) when the extension shows a “↑” update badge.
  2. Unzip it over the same folder, replacing the old files (keep the folder path unchanged).
  3. Reload the extension: chrome://extensions → reload icon (or the popup’s “Reload extension”). Reload once per profile.

The extension checks this page for new versions and shows a “↑” badge when one is available — updating is always your choice. Safari is not supported.
